The Rosenhof is an amazing stay when visiting Oudtshoorn. Its location in the middle of town makes it really convenient, but although it is situated in town one would never say. The large property surrounded by beautiful gardens and immaculate chalets gives you a feeling of staying at a retreat. We will definitely visit again!

Spent two days here and it could have easily been longer. Lovely relaxed and five star environment, excellent food although choices in the evening a tiny bit limited. Loved the pool and gardens. And service top notch. Lots to do around here too - we did the Black Mountains guided tour which was brilliant. Recommend staying here.

After a long journey from Port Elizabeth it was a lovely treat to arrive at the Rosehof. We were in one of the private houses which was comfortable and spacious, with its own pool and as the sun went down, it was lovely to have a little swim, before going to the main house for a drink on the verandah, followed by a delicious dinner. Breakfast in the morning was at the terrace restaurant, before our departure for the Cango Caves. It would have been better to have had a lazy day at the hotel to enjoy the amenities. The main house and our suite had charm of a bygone era

This was a real 5-star experience - excellent service throughout, a beautiful room with everything you could wish for, a lovely pool (although unheated) and an idyllic breakfast terrace. The food was excellent too.

This was a return visit for us to celebrate our anniversary. We love the setting, the rooms the peaceful ambience. It is a lovely touch to hand over the car keys and your car is parked and the cases are taken to your room. The rooms are great very spacious and relaxed English country house vibe. Champagne had been left in the room with a card which was so thoughtful. We enjoyed spa treatments during our stay and can highly recommend. We love the breakfast - fabulous choice, cooked to order and served in a wonderful setting. However, we were very disappointed with the evening meals, the beef was very tough and the vegetables were harder than al dente. the menu is quite limited and doesn't change much from one day to the next. We had fabulous food during our 3 week travels around South Africa including La Lude which is under the same ownership, unfortunately Rosenhof is not at the same standard.

What an absolute gem of a hotel. Absolutely beautiful rooms, wonderful staff and a lovely restaurant, delicious food. What a shame we were only there one night could have stayed a week! It was so quiet and relaxing with a pool and spa. Apparently plans to expand the spa. Definitely a great stay on the garden route

A beautiful and traditional country house set in a perfect location and surrounded by exquisite rose gardens. Traditional decor throughout the country house with a lovely koi pond and courtyard. The Executive Suite was amazing. Separate lounge area interlading into a lovely bedroom. The private pool and relaxing terrace made our stay extra special. Excellent service from Elinah and Nomvu. The cuisine was superb. Rosenhof is exceptional and a must to visit in Oudtshoorn.

A small and comfy location. You felt secure and taken care of. Only deficit was the food. Dining room nicely prepared, yet the food was not as good as hoped for.
